From stamping and forming to the ready-to-install assembly
Processing stainless steel places special demands on tooling and machinery. Higher strengths, pronounced springback and work hardening call for precise process control. On our eccentric presses with 500 to 5000 kN (50 to 500 tonnes) of press force and our press brakes up to 1100 kN, we master these challenges reliably – in material thicknesses from 0,2 to 15 mm.
Our tools are matched to the respective alloy and material thickness: cutting clearance, punch geometry and blank holder are crucial for low-burr cut edges and long tool service life. During bending operations we compensate for springback directly in the tool – so your geometries remain reproducible even with tight tolerances of typically ±0,1 mm.
Besides corrosion resistance, formability and weldability as well as price are decisive factors
V2A is the standard stainless steel: high toughness, very good formability and deep-drawability, good weldability, weather- and corrosion-resistant. Typical applications: food industry, household appliances, furniture, façade components, railing construction and landscaping. Its food-grade suitability is assured by standards.
V4A is considerably more chloride-resistant than V2A — a must in seawater, swimming pool, chemical or road-salt environments. Key applications: pharmaceuticals, medical technology, offshore components and pressure vessel construction. Also the safe choice for façade components exposed to the elements in coastal areas.
Ferritic stainless steels (e.g. 1.4016, 1.4510) offer a more cost-effective solution for standard applications without extreme chloride exposure, thanks to their lower nickel content. Ideal for household technology, automotive components and interior fittings. Good deep-drawability, magnetic, good weldability.
In principle, we process all stampable, formable and weldable stainless steel grades. Duplex, super duplex, heat-resistant grades — if your application requires a special alloy, talk to us. We assess material availability, machinability and cost-effectiveness for your project.
Stainless steel stamping isn't one of your core competencies? Numerous customers have transferred their production to us. We take over projects with several hundred tools – from the handover to a stable series ramp-up.
Bending, deep drawing, embossing – we master the entire range of cold forming technology, even with stainless steel. For complex geometries we rely on combined .
On request, we supply ready-to-install : bolted, riveted or welded. With our own for reproducible quality.
For the stamping tools, we work with long-standing, specialised partners. We fully coordinate design, manufacturing and testing for you.
Where our stainless steel stampings are used
Stainless steel is the standard material in pressure vessel construction: tank components, flanges, pipe supports, sealing plates, manhole frames. We supply stamped stainless steel parts in V4A for chemically demanding media and in V2A for food tanks and dairy plants.
Handrail brackets, post bases, corner connectors, stair brackets: railing construction calls for weather-resistant stamped parts with clean visible edges. For landscaping projects too (fence fittings, water features, stainless steel outdoor furniture), we supply in V2A and V4A with a brushed or electropolished finish.
V2A and V4A are approved by standards for food contact. We supply stamped parts for processing machines, filling plants, bakery and dairy technology as well as for medical technology – including material certificates and quality documentation.
Discs, spacer rings, spring washers, retaining clips, safety plates: mechanical and drive engineering need stainless steel stampings with tight tolerances, high strength and consistent quality. Our large-series production of up to several million pieces per year covers this demand.
Our process — transparent and quality-assured
You send us your drawing (PDF, DXF, STEP) or a sample. We assess feasibility, advise on alloy and material thickness and promptly prepare a non-binding quote. For complex projects, we go through the details with you in person.
For tool design, we work with specialised partners. Progressive dies up to 3,000 kg are possible. Before the series starts, we produce initial samples with an initial sample inspection report (ISIR) to VDA standard. The series only begins after your approval.
Series production with in-process inspection. On request, we supply material certificates (EN 10204 3.1), inspection reports and batch documentation. On request, we arrange component assembly, and surface finishing (pickling, electropolishing) in a single delivery step.
Send us your requirements – we'll be glad to advise you.
